THE LATEST 'NEWS'    - sept. 2009:     In september 2009 we made a trip to the Galápagos islands. This trip was on our                            list for years. We didn't expect it to be even better than in our dreams.                            We choose the 14-day trip of Sawadee.                            2 nights in Quito, 8 day cruise and another 2 nights in Quito.                            The 8 day cruise with the yacht Darwin was unforgettable. It felt like we were                            travelling through a nature movie. All the animals closeby and not scared of us.                            Here is our travelstory, or see the short movie.    - august 2009:   In august 2009 Tom had a week of business in                            Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg.                            We added a week filled with safari.                            We looked for game in Pilanesberg and Madikwe.                            Here is the travel story, with links to pictures and movie.    - march 2009:   The website is being restyled during the next weeks.                            During this time some pages will be unavaillable but in april 2009                            everything should be up and running.                            Our goal is to have all pages translated by then too.                            Already new is a page with our travelmovies. (some only in dutch)    - jan 2009:       End of january it was our third attempt to walk a marathon.                            One weekend, two days of 21 km walking around Egmond.                            Peter and Willeke joined us along the beach and through the dunes.                            Again we succeeded and got a lovely medal to prove it.                            See the pictures and short story at the Egmond Wandelmarathon 2009 page.    - sept 2008:     A two week safari in South Africa.                            We visited a few game parks in the undiscovered Limpopo Province.                                                        The travelstory is ready.                            And there is a movie of 8 minutes on the site. (with english subtitles)    - april 2008:    Cycling season has started. In wet and cold weather Tom finished the                            Ronde van Vlaanderen.                            There some pictures and a map at the Ronde van Vaanderen 2008 page.                            For Toms other cycling tours, like the Amstel Gold Race, Steven Rooks Classic,                            or previous editions see the cycling tab.    - march 2008:    Something we always denied we want, did happen.                             We did go on a wintersport vacation.                             An adventureweek in Finnish Lapland. The weather was cold                             but beautiful. And the landscape was even better.                             A travelstory is at this website.    - january 2008:  The last weekend of january 2008 we walked                             the Egmond walking marathon with Peter and Willeke.                                                         Two days of 21 km (the first day even over 23)                             along the beach and in the dunes at Egmond.                             A short story and a few pictures at the Egmond Wandelmarathon 2008 page.                             All pictures are at multiply.    - 25 mei 2007:   Finally together on one bicycle.                             Not everybody believed our stories about this                             but here is proof. We bought a tandem bicycle.                             This weekend we tried it in the real flat province                             Drenthe. Nice to cycle there in the woods.                             Here is a short movie proving we also actually                             moved forward.    - april 2007:      Ronde van Vlaanderen and Amstel Gold Race.                             Begin april the cycling season started with the                             Ronde van Vlaanderen. Tom cycled the 140 km version                             the day before the profesionals tackled the belgian                             steep climbes, like the wall of Geraardsbergen.                             Here is a short story with map and a short movie                             by the belgian television.                             Two weeks later Tom, Johan, Gino, Maurice, Henk,                             Ronald and Vincent cycled the 150 km long tour                             of the Amstel Gold Race in the southern Netherlands.                             Short impression of that day.    - 27/28 jan 07: Egmond Wandelmarathon.                             Two days of walking through the dunes around                             Egmond.
