A huge hobby of Tom is cycling. Just a short trip in the neighbourhood or tours in the Limburg mountains. In 2008 he rode the following tours: - Joop Zoetemelk Classic 22 march, a 75 km ride (other distance: 150 km) through the Green Hart of Holland. - Ronde van Vlaanderen 5 april, 140 km (other distances: 75 km or the full 264 km)in the Flemmish Ardennes along the route of the professional tour the next day. See the official homepage of the Ronde van Vlaanderen for more info. - Amstel Gold Race 19 april, 150 km (other distances between 50-250 km)in the Limburgse hills along the route of the professional race the next day. Or visit theoffical website. - Adrie van der Poel Classic 18 mei, 166 km along the dutch dikes, totally flat but difficult because of the wind. (dutch) - Adrie van der Poel Classic Sunday 20 may you can ride the Adrie van der Poel Classic. It is 166 km on a flat circuit in the Netherlands, with lots of wind on the 7 km long Zeelandbridge. Website is in dutch. - Limburgs Mooiste At 2 june Tom is going to ride the 150 km Classic of Limburgs Mooiste. Again in the Limburg hills. See the official website for the route and hills. In 2006 he rode the following tours: - Amstel Gold Race A tour of 150 km (one can choose from 50-250 km)in the Limburg mountains following a large part of the track of the famous roadrace the next day. The tour of april 15 2006 official homepage Amstel Gold Race - Adrie van der Poel Classic Sunday, May 21, the Adrie van der Poel Classic was cycled. The route of the 166 km tour is for a large part following the dutch dikes, an absolutely flat track, but the wind can cause some trouble. The height of this tour is the 7 km long Zeelandbrigde. Despite the strong wind Tom and Maurice only took 6 hours to complete the cours. The route. - Feryn Pijl Sunday June 4 you can participate in the Feryn Pijl. Tours of 48, 106 and 165 km. Tom is going for the classic 165 km. The 13th edition of the Feryn-Pijl has a completely new track. Starting in Kapelle op den Bos we cycle into the Province Antwerpen. In Mechelen there is a break at the Grote Markt (Marketplace). From there we are going south to the first hills. There is also a cobblestone track to be passed. Official website.
