USA 1989 : The wild west, a three week trip with a rental car through California, Utah, and Arizona.1991 : The west of the USA has lots to offer. After a great trip in 1989 we wanted to visit again. In april 1991 we flew to San Francisco and drove through California, Utah and Arizona. 1993 : In 1993 the plane brought us to Denver, Colorado. From there we took a rentalcar through the Rocky Mountains. And the following states: South-Dakota, Wyoming, Utah and Colorado. We visited some famous landmarks like: Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone and Bryce Canyon. But also less known ones: Custer State Park, Bighorn Mountains and the Airforce Academy. 1995 : In 1995 we made a trip through northwest USA and a piece of Canada. We flew to Seattle. And again rented a car to drive through Vancouver, Vancouver Island , Calgary, Yellowstone, and along the westcoast back to Seattle. 1996 : In August 1996 we flew to Toronto, Canada, from there we made a 4 week trip in a rental car. Besides a part of Canada we also visited some eastern states of the USA. 2002 : In June 2002 just one week to New England. We attended a Virtual Tourist meeting, and did some sightseeing in Connecticut en Massachusetts. 2003 : In October 2003 we decided to visit our Virtual Tourist friends again. We attended a First we met Lucille in New Jersey. Then we drove south to meet Angie and Paul in Louisiana. Visiting the states of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennesse, Mississippi in between. 2005 : In July 2005 we joined a group tour of 3 weeks through Yukon (Canada) and Alaska. We saw the famous grizzly bears and some great glaciers. SOUTH AMERICA 2001 : In december 2001 we visited Chili and Argentina to see the southern point of America and the famous Patagonia. 2007 : A three week trip through Suriname. A country where they speak our language but everything else is different from home. |
