The red loop is a 150 km long cycling tour through the hills in South-Limburg with 25 climbs, known and unknown hills.
The most difficult climbs De Remigiusstraat to de Huls, the Eyserbosweg, the Cauberg and the Keutenberg are all in the first 50 km of the route.
This makes it more difficult than the Amstel Gold Race. And added to that it was very warm on the 10th of june 2006.

In Belgium the climb of Het Bovenste Bos, back to the Netherlands to Epen and Mechelen.
After Vijlen the route went into Germany at Mamelis. Climbing the Benedictusberg brought the cyclist in Bocholtz.
A heavy short but heavy climbs in a not so good known part of Germany to the left and right of the Anstelbeek.
