At the 15th of april 2006 the 5th Tourversion of the Amstel Gold Race was held. One could choose for different distances between 50 and 250 km. Peter, Ronald, Henk, Maurice and Tom started around 8:45 with 150 km to go. The following hills had to be climbed: The Geulhemmerberg, Bemelerberg, Loorberg, Gulperberg, Schweiberg, Camerig, Gemmenicherweg, Drielandenpunt, Kruisberg, Eyserbosweg, Huls, Bergseweg, Fromberg, Keuteberg and the finish is at the top of the Cauberg. For Peter, Ronald and Henk it was just a bit too much, they had too little experience, and they took a shotcut at Mechelen. But the 107 km they cycled through the Limburg hills are quit an achievement. Next year more!
